As of 1 January 2024, new legislation has come into force allowing the exchange of driving licences that do not comply with the international conventions on road traffic (Geneva 1949 and Vienna 1968). In this case, professional and medical qualifications are required to obtain a Czech driving licence in exchange for your national licence (conditions vary depending on the issuing country). Obtaining a professional licence involves some financial and time costs, but is significantly cheaper and shorter than attending a full driving school.
